1991-2000
1991
Production of the Model 450C Grain Conveyor Wagon began. It featured an exclusive, patented hydraulically-driven unloading conveyor with a low-profile, hydraulic fold for transport. The conveyor utilized steel-backed poly paddles mounted on industrial grade conveyor chain to swiftly unload grain with minimal damage. Unloading speeds of up to 175 bushels per minute meant the 490 bushel capacity wagon could unload in less than 3 minutes. A shortened SOF-TRAK option with 24" rubber tracks was introduced for the Model 450C in 1995.
1992
The 1500 Conservation Cultivator in rigid models from 4 Row Narrow (30") through 8 Row Wide (36", 38", 40") was introduced. The Model 1500 was aimed at high residue cropping systems and offered mulch-till, ridge-till and no-till capabilities. In 1993, a 10 Row Narrow Rigid model, and folding models up to 16 Row Narrow were added. The 1500 Conservation Cultivator line was discontinued in 2004.
1994
Kinze® unveiled the new Model 2700 Front Folding Planter. Introduced first in a 24 Row Narrow (30") size, the 2700 converted quickly from a 60-foot operating width to 14-foot transport width; the entire folding/unfolding sequence was controlled from the tractor seat. In 1996, two new sizes (40-foot operating widths) were introduced - 16 Row 30" and 24 Row 20" for ultra-narrow rows. In the following year, a 36 Row 20" version was introduced on the same toolbar as the 24 Row 30" size. The first phase of the Kinze plant expansion was completed in late 1994, adding 120,000 square feet to the total plant.
1995
Four stack folding planters - 8 Row Wide, 12 Row Narrow, 12 Row Wide and 16 Row Narrow - were introduced as additions to the line of Kinze Model 2100 3-Point Mounted Planters. These planters featured the innovative Kinze spring-loaded contact tire drive system, optional point row clutch capability, rigid or optional wing flex operation, telescoping u-joint drive shafts/couplers that require uncoupling for folding, and a competitively superior transport configuration.
1997
The second phase of the Kinze plant expansion, which houses receiving areas, assembly departments and a state-of-the-art powder-coat system that went on-line in early 1997.
1998
The very popular Model 2200 Flex Econo-Fold® planter was replaced by an improved Model 2210, in 8 Row Wide and 12 Row Narrow sizes, with onboard liquid fertilizer capabilities.
1999
Kinze introduced the "Evolution Series" Row Unit and the new 3000 Series Planter model line. The new model offered major advances in design, appearance and high volume consistency with the adoption of precision tooling, 100% robotic welding and powder-coat flnishing. Many signiflcant design improvements were made to the row unit including larger polyethylene seed hoppers, load equalizing depth/gauge wheels and self-aligning clutches.
