Kinze History Detail

2001-2009

2001

The 3650 Twin-Line® Bulk Fill Planter (with in-line transport and a choice of Solid Row Interplant® or Liquid Fertilizer Packages) introduced a new, gentle, mechanical system for delivering seed to individual mini-hoppers and seed meters. Later relabeled as 3650 SDS, the planter was equipped with twin bulk seed hoppers to provide greater loading speeds and seed capacity versus conventional row units. The planter offered unequaled balance, superior residue ?ow and better stability and handling in transport. Kinze also introduced the 1050 Harvest Commander® Grain Auger Cart. It holds up to 1050 bushels and unloads in under two minutes.

2002

Kinze expanded its grain cart line to include the 850 Harvest Commander. Construction of additional warehousing facilities continued in 2001 and 2002, with shipping and repair parts warehousing locating to new facilities in 2002.

2003

Kinze introduced the option of onboard liquid fertilizer or narrow row planting, all on one planter. Today, the new 3650 Twin-Line® Conventional is unequalled in large capacity planting, versatility and narrow transport. Construction of all-new engineering offices and prototype shop in a 90,000 square foot addition began in the summer of 2003.

2004

Giant forward-folding planters - planting 60’, 80’ and 90’ wide - hit the field with superior balance, stability, toolbar flex and flotation. They also reduced hitch weight, improved transport maneuverability and provided exceptional ground clearance.

2005

EdgeVac® Seed Meter was introduced - a new and highly accurate, state-of-the art vacuum seed metering system that adjusts easily to various crops, while handling a wide range of seed sizes and shapes. Susanne (Kinzenbaw) Veatch joins Kinze Manufacturing as Vice-President and as the second generation of ownership.

2006

Construction began on the new Kinze Product Center. This 39,000 square foot building incorporates a clear span width of 150 feet allowing maneuvering of large equipment for display and training. State-of-the-art audio and visual equipment installed in dedicated training classrooms enhances the learning experience.

2007

Kinze launched the new 3700 SDS Planter - equipped with a 110-bushel bulk fill system - to help meet the challenges of increased acres and tighter planting windows. The Kinze Vision® system first hit the market, improving growers precision and control of planting equipment.

2008

The 3660 was introduced with many new features for increased accuracy and profitability. Improved hitch clearance, air seed delivery, weight transferring frame, hydraulic drive, GPS control, and pneumatic down pressure are a few of the features and options of this technologically advanced planter.

2009

The 3800 is relaunched for the 2010 planting season to include air seed delivery - with twin 55-bushel hoppers that hold enough seed to cover 260 acres in a single fill. Kinze continues to invest in capital improvements such as CNC machines, robotic welders, and most recently, a new state-of-the-art office building. This continued investment will help Kinze succeed in the future.
